Subaru has shared a mysterious teaser photo depicting a car being driven on a mountain slope in the distance. The caption reads, ‘Something wild is coming.’
Whatever it is, the company promises us a full reveal later this month. No other details are available, but we suspect Subaru might want to establish a new sub-brand called Wilderness for especially off-road-capable SUV modifications. The Outback model in particular (see video) looks like a great candidate for it.
The rumored Wilderness line will feature extra ride height, a special body kit, chassis improvements, all-terrain tires and other ‘rugged’ options. It doesn’t look as if the marque wanted to make all-new cars under this badge.
