Subaru Outback coming to Europe next month, get €40,890+ ready

The sixth-gen Subaru Outback debuted two years ago in the United States, which is its production location and main market at the same time. Production in Japan started later with sales in Australia, and Europe will only be getting it in April.

The new Outback comes based on the same Subaru Global Platform (SGP) as the marque’s other recent cars. Compared to its U.S. counterpart, the global version has different bumpers and lights. The interior is roomier than it used to be, and the noise proofing is better.

Standard equipment now includes an 11.6-inch vertical infotainment touchscreen, a drowsiness alert camera, and an EyeSight package that includes ACC, AEB, lane control, traffic sign recognition, and collision prevention for intersections.

In Europe, the Outback will only ship with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine rated at 169 PS (167 hp / 124 kW) and 252 Nm (188 lb-ft) of torque. A CVT sends the power to all four wheels.

Prices in Germany will begin from €40,890.
