Exotic Subaru SVX gets slammed on turbine-shaped wheels

Despite its stylish looks, decent acceleration performance and a choice between FWD and AWD, the Subaru Alcyone SVX is a rare guest in the West. It only graced Europe with its presence in mid-1990s, leaving few units for tuners to tinker with. This example stems from Japan, and it could make you wish it weren’t so rare.

In a video shared on YouTube by Woyshnis Media, the sports car has a typical JDM body kit, a black paintjob and a Momo steering wheel in the cabin. The massive turbine-shaped Tesla wheels are perhaps the biggest highlight here, fitting their arches perfectly thanks to slammed air suspension. They also offset the murdered-out look of the body, lending it an extra dose of sportiness.

Powering the SVX is a 3.3-liter inline-six engine rated at 230 PS (227 hp / 169 kW) and 309 Nm (228 lb-ft) of torque. It takes 7.5 seconds for the SVX to launch 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph), and the top speed lies at 249 km/h (154 mph).
