The new Subaru WRX had been expected to arrive by late 2020, and while it never did, these spy shots suggest it is nearing production.
Despite the abundant camo, it seems obvious that exterior differences have been kept to a minimum. There is a redesigned radiator grille and a ventilated hood, as well as narrower headlights and lower air intakes, but things look very familiar otherwise. The modest-sized anti-fog lights now sit at the sides of the nose.
The trunk sports a spoiler, and there are air vents in the rear bumper and front fenders.
According to unconfirmed sources, the new WRX might ship with a turbocharged version of its 2.4-liter flat-four engine, which will be rated at 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW).
