The well-known Japanese automotive brand Subaru plans to release its next generation WRX sedan no sooner than 2020. The corresponding statement was made by Subaru Chief Designer Mamoru Ishii.
He also pointed out that the exterior of the new vehicle is inspired by the Viziv Performance concept which debuted at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
The new WRX is going to make use of the Subaru Global Platform and come with a wide variety of engines to choose from. The one feature that’s certain to make it into the next version is, of course, Subaru’s trademark 4WD.
It should be reminded that Subaru released its latest WRX and WRX STI models on the Russian market in summer 2017. Both cars came with redesigned exteriors and interiors, better noise insulation, and improved steering.
