The latest bunch of spy photos provides an excellent overview of the upcoming 2022 Subaru Crosstrek (a.k.a. XV). Let us see what is new and exciting.
First of all, it looks like the camouflage conceals a production-ready body. There are certain similarities with the current generation, but there are considerable differences, too. For one, the lower fascia is now trapezoid and the radiator grille has a vertical bar in the middle with a wavy ornament surrounding it. The lighting at both ends has also been revamped.
We still have no photos of the new Crosstrek interior, but a next-gen infotainment system with a vertical display is high on our list of expectations. The latest facelift saw the model receive a new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 184 PS (181 hp / 135 kW), and the same engine will most likely be available in the new generation as well.
