Subaru introduced the latest Crosstrek/XV model early this fall, and it is now officially available in Japan with all specs and pricing info.
The SUV comes based on the SGP platform with a reinforced load-bearing base and improved suspension mounts. Buyers only get one drivetrain without further options – a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine assisted by an electric motor. The former makes 145 PS (143 hp / 107 kW), and the latter contributes 14 PS (14 hp / 10 kW).
On its domestic market, the Crosstrek costs between 2,234,000 and 2,662,000 Japanese Yen. Aside from the usual all-wheel-drive configuration, you can go with a front-wheel-drive one for a change.
The default equipment includes 17-inch wheels, a modest-sized infotainment display, and an interior wrapped in fabric. Higher trims introduce larger wheel sizes, a big infotainment touchscreen, and leather upholstery.
