Customers in Japan have been buying the new generation of the Subaru XV/Crosstrek for a while now, but in the United States, the car has only just been introduced at the Chicago Auto Show.
The U.S. spec runs on a flat-four engine rated at 185 PS (182 hp / 135 kW) in its Limited Subies and Sport trim variants. The latter has yellow exterior and interior accents. The wallet-friendlier base and medium trims make do with a four-pot producing 154 PS (152 hp / 113 kW). The hybrid modifications are underway, too, but their specs remain to be revealed.
Inside, the new Crosstrek looks reasonably fresh with a seven-inch central display that you can replace with an optional 11.6-inch one for a premium.
Prices start from $24,995. The cheapest trims will be the first to ship, followed by the Limited Subies and Sport mentioned above.
