Suzuki came forward with an announcement that the XBee compact crossover is ready for the mass market. The so-called Kei car comes in front-driven and 4WD variants to the showrooms in Japan with prices beginning at 1,765,800 Yen.
The first public appearance of Suzuki XBee, which is based on an older Kei car model Suzuki Hustler, was at the 2017 International Motor Show in Tokyo. The vehicle got a one-liter turbocharged engine with 99 hp and a feature called Мild Hybrid, which apparently allows for some start/stop energy recuperation.
As is customary on the highly style-conscious Kei car market, buyers of the Suzuki XBee will be able to select from a plethora of individualization options for their new car, from custom paint jobs to numerous decorative inserts and inlays on the inside
No plans have been announced to release the latest Suzuki XBee outside of Japan.
