Suzuki hits 30 million cars sold in Japan

Suzuki has reported delivering its 30,000,000th vehicle on the domestic market.

The company tracks its history from the year 1955, when it released its very first four-wheel motorized vehicle. It was called the Suzulight (see the gallery and the video here). Shipping 30 million vehicles took it 69 years and a half. Right now, Japan has roughly 2,930,000 Suzuki cars registered for road use.

The automaker’s global statistics is even more impressive with 84,740,000 vehicles delivered to date. Japan may remain Suzuki’s most popular target market, but India is running a close second with 28.7 million units delivered so far.
