446-PS Suzuki Mighty Boy breaks Kei car stereotypes

Few still remember, but Suzuki actually produced a light truck version of its small-displacement Cervo model in the 1980s, offering it in Japan, in Australia, and on Cyprus. The tiny ride produced meager 32 PS (31 hp / 24 kW) abd 44 Nm (32 lb-ft) of torque – but one owner decided to introduce it to real power.

The Australian buyer of the Kei car was so unimpressed with its capabilities that he went and swapped it for a six-liter, eight-cylinder monster engine with direct E85 injection. A simple, yet reliable three-range A/T slams the wheels with 446 PS (440 hp / 328 kW) now. If you need any more reasons to love this bizarre build, consider that it weighs in at 550 kg (1,212 lbs).

As you can see in the video, the handling is not exactly easy, but what else would you expect of a teensy Kei car with 11 times the original displacement and 14 times the power!?
