Continuing the series of Tokyo Motor Show premieres is the next generation of the Suzuki Hustler. The crossover is still nominally a concept, but its final production version likely won’t look much different when it ships.
Compared against the old Hustler, the new one looks edgier and sports third side glass panes. Most of the novelty resides inside, though. This includes two color displays (dashboard and multimedia) and a new trim material that the manufacturer claims is especially easy to wash.
The next-gen Suzuki Hustler comes with the same engine range as before, notably including the 0.6-liter, three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine and its turbocharged counterpart. Both engines support regenerative braking and are assisted by 48V start-generators. The drive is always on both axles, and the transmission is variable.
