Despite its diminutive size, the Suzuki Jimny feels refreshingly at home in all kinds of off-road driving scenarios. The latest project by Delta4x4 and Avus Auto enhances this aspect further, leaving larger SUVs stuck far behind in mud.
The two aftermarket companies are developing a range of wilderness-friendly performance parts for the Jimny. The most important upgrade comes in the form of two portal beams, which in tandem with giant wheels and tires lift the belly of the teensy off-roader 400 mm (15.6 inches) above ground.
Avus Auto says it will only produce 12 such cars with portal axles. For its own part, Delta4x4 will handle the rest of the modifications. These will include installing black 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain rubber, fender flares, a winch rated at 3 metric tons (6,600 lbs), and more.
Prices will begin from €56,000 and climb to €65,000 with all boxes ticked.
