How do you like this topless Suzuki ‘Tank 100’ Jimny?

Chinese tuner YiChe Garage has posted a video on YouTube featuring a roofless Suzuki Jimny. The project car was further stylized to resemble Tank SUVs made in China. Motor1 believes it might just be the world’s most expensive Jimny.

Judging by the footage, the car no longer has any kind of roof, so it is best left in the garage during rainy days. It sports a roll bar between the seat rows and a new, lighter-hued interior trim.

As well, the Jimny sports a modified front end with a new grille and round headlamps crossed by horizontal DRLs. You can find a front end like this on off-roaders made by China’s Tank brand. The name of the build – Tank 100 – further confirms this guess. Tank uses a naming scheme according to which larger SUVs receive larger numerical designations (300, 400, 500, etc.). The name Tank 100 sounds like it could fit on the brand’s smallest SUV ever – if it were to be made.

It is worth pointing out that Suzuki does not export the Jimny to China. Motor1 reckons that the tuning company must have spent around $60,000 to have the car brought to the country and about the same amount to modify it. If true, this might make the Tank 100 the world’s costliest Jimny, bar none.
