Japanese tuning company Alpine Style has brought a pair of body kits to the recent Tokyo expo designed to make the latest Suzuki Jimny and Nissan NV200 look slightly more like iconic retro SUVs from the United States. Both kits will go on sale under Cal’s Motor branding.
Starting with the Jimny, it received a special radiator grille and new LED headlights with square housings. The taillights were made round, the bumpers were replaced at both ends and the stock wheels made way for new chrome rims resembling classic steelies (in design only).
The entry-level Jimny costs ¥1,560,000 in Japan. Its upgraded version will be known as Cal’s Motor Beas and offered starting from ¥2,980,000, which roughly corresponds to $20,500.
The Nissan NV200 gets an even bigger stylistic overhaul. In addition to the new grille, headlights, bumpers and wheels as seen in the gallery below, the van is getting a boxier, more rugged-looking front fascia and an optional two-tone paint job. A ready-made van like this will be offered as Cal’s Motor Sonova and start from ¥4,280,000 before options (around $29,500).
Alpine Style’s TAS-2024 lineup also included a Toyota HiAce microbus called ‘Carica’, which was tuned in a similar vein. It showcased the tuner’s new radiator grille and headlight bezels, which can be ordered in chrome and blacked-out variants.
