Suzuki Jimny exterior and specs revealed

The Suzuki Jimny mini-SUV will celebrate its premiere on July 5. In the meantime, the manufacturer has revealed its exterior design and some of the technical specifications.

In its coming iteration, the Suzuki Jimny will remain under four meters (13 ft.) long. It will still offer body-on-frame structure, a transfer gearbox with speed-reduction gearing, and solid-beam axles. It will also feature on-demand AWD.

The entry-level Suzuki Jimny will ship with a small 0.66L gasoline engine only capable of 64 hp (48 kW) and 95 Nm (lb·ft) of torque, paired with either a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission.

The Sierra edition will ship with a 1.5L naturally-aspirated engine with so far undisclosed performance. It will also be available with the manual and automatic transmissions.

The options list now includes 16” pressed and flow-formed wheels, keyless-start-and-go, cruise control, climate control, LED lighting, and front collision warning (not available in the previous models).

The prices remain undisclosed so far.
