Nine Suzuki Swift hatchbacks that starred in the Top Gear Live show found a new owner this week, who paid only £7,900 for the lot.
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and Stig presented the international version of the show in 2008–2015, and played “car football” driving compact city cars. As you can tell by their wraps and the description on the website, these specific vehicles played in the England vs. Argentina match.
The seller claims all cars are in drivable condition despite assorted damages. None are street-legal, so whoever bought them will have to find another use for them.
From the technical point of view, these are third-generation Swift models produced in 2005–2010. Aside from handbrakes tuned to simplify turns and stunts, they are largely stock.
This is not the first time Top Gear cars hit the auction block en masse. Multiple vehicles once owned by former host Richard Hammond made it to the auction last month, for example.
