23 people pack inside a Suzuki Vitara

Suzuki has found a creative way to show just how roomy its new compact CUV, Vitara, is. The video posted on the Suzuki Iberica channel shows 23 people squeezing into the car with seemingly enough room left to applaud each other afterwards.

Six people were able to get into the front row and 17 more into the back row after the seats were folded down. Judging by the crowd in the gallery below, Suzuki played it safe by picking less tall, younger people with no body weight issues.

The crossover has a small 2.5-meter (97.6-inch) wheelbase, but still manages to offer 1,119 liters (39.5 cubic feet) of trunk space with the sear seats folded.

The description accompanying the video claims a ‘world record’, but doesn’t reveal any further details. Per Motor1, the world record for the most people in a light passenger car was set many decades ago, when a crowd of 57 squeezed inside a first-generation Volkswagen Beetle.
