Japanese carmaker Suzuki has announced the forthcoming launch of its third-gen XL7 crossover. Sales in select Asian countries will launch next month starting at the rough equivalent of U.S. $16,800.
The three-row seven-seater comes powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine rated at 105 hp (78 kW). A 48V starter/generator assists the engine during initial acceleration. Transmission choices include five-speed manual and four-speed automatic.
In its most basic implementation, the new 2020 Suzuki XL7 packs quite a few modern in-car features, including climate control, cruise control, engine start/stop system, rear parking sensors, and an infotainment system with a touchscreen display. Emergency brake and lane control are also provided. Aside from the standard trim, two premium trims will be available.
