An authentic Tata H5X Concept crossover, a joint development of the Indian automaker Tata and the British Jaguar Land Rover, has recently debuted at the 2018 India Auto Expo in New Delhi.
The vehicle utilizes the brand-new OMEGAA automotive platform, which stands for “Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced Architecture”. It is loosely based on the Land Rover D8 architecture used in the Range Rover Discovery Sport, Evoque and Jaguar E-Pace, among others, but is adapted to the Indian market and the country’s subpar road conditions.
The new Tata H5X Concept has an attractive exterior design with LED headlamps, reinforced body, broad wheel arches, and no-nonsense 22-inch wheels.
The car should enter retail in 2019 and come in two versions – with five and seven seats, respectively. In terms of the engine, it’s most likely to get a 2.0-liter FCA diesel motor with an output somewhere between 140 and 170 hp.
