Tesla has posted another teaser image of its upcoming Model Y. The mini-SUV will enjoy its official premiere in just a few days.
Based on the photo, the car comes in a blue body with conventional side mirrors instead of the video cameras we have seen on its concept version. Its headlights bear a similarity to those of the Model 3, the cheapest Tesla on the market.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk says the compact SUV will be 10 percent larger and more expensive than the Model 3 sedan/saloon while offering as many as three seat rows. Frankly speaking, it is not clear to us just how the company managed to squeeze in three rows of seats into a car as small as that…
It has earlier been made official that the Tesla Model Y inherits 75 percent of its components from the Model 3, obviously including the underbody and the drivetrain. Its driving range has not been revealed yet, but sources claiming inside knowledge of the company’s affairs say we should expect versions ranging between 200 and 275 miles (320 and 442 kilometers, respectively).
