Tesla has issued an official announcement saying its first electric pickup truck will come out next month, reportedly combining all things Americans love about trucks with the environmental friendliness considered so important today.
Nothing has been revealed regarding the appearance of the car to date, so these fan-made renderings will have to do for now. Confident as ever, Elon Musk said the car would look ‘fantastic’. He also called the launch event a milestone in the industry.
It is expected that in its most basic specification, the alleged Tesla Model B will cost close to $50,000.
On a side note, Tesla drivers and those driving the traditional pickups seem to share something like a strong mutual grudge. Not a day passes by without new TeslaCam footage showing truck drivers being aggressive towards EVs.
