Abundant rumors concerning the speculated release of a pickup truck by Tesla at last proved correct when Elon Musk published a teaser showing the upcoming car. According to the official company sources, the model will be known as TeslaPickup.
A short look at the new images will be enough to see much in common between the exterior design of the new pickup and the TeslaSemi truck announced last weekend. The dimensions of the new car are impressive, too – its trailer part can easily accommodate a FordF-150. According to Elon Musk himself, TeslaPickup even has a dedicated sleeping compartment.
Another interesting fact is that, despite its rather large size, TeslaPickup should receive a certificate that won’t require a special kind of driver’s license.
There is no mention of the official announcement date of Tesla’s new battery-powered pickup truck.
