In a recent story, we have told you about road tests and the official introduction of Tesla Semi, an electricity-powered truck by innovation leader Tesla. Today we will speak about prices of the different versions of Semi.
Just a small reminder before we proceed: Tesla Semi comes equipped with four electric motors capable of accelerating it to 100 km/h (60 mph) in 5 seconds. Granted, this is only valid for the truck part itself, i.e. without the trailer part attached. However, even with the peak load of 36 metric tons (80,000 lbs) it manages the same in just 20 seconds. An impressive result, to say the least.
OK, let’s talk price now. The basic edition of Tesla Semi costs U.S. $150,000 and travels up to 482 kilometers before discharge. The more powerful version is priced at $180,000 and can travel up to 805 kilometers on batteries. Finally, there is the cool-looking Semi Founders Series which comes with a $200,000 price tag.
