In case you haven’s read Elon Musk’s tweet yet, the Full Self-Driving (FSD) suite for Tesla cars will cost $12,000 USD starting from January 17, 2022, as opposed to the current $10,000.
The hike so far only applies to the U.S. market. Musk mentioned the possibility of it in 2020, pointing out that the option grows smarter with each update and gains new useful features.
It seems likely that the subscription fee for the FSD, which currently comes in at US $199/month, may rise soon, too.
