This month Tesla company will start pre-series release of a new eletkrokar of Model 3, which will become the cheapest in a model range of the American car maker. In 2016 the beginning of a full serial production was announced for July of this year.
Tesla Model 3 was shown to public in April, 2016. The car has a course inventory for 346 kilometers and is capable to accelerate to the first "hundred" on a speedometer almost in 6 seconds. It is expected that the model will appear on car markets with the price tag of 35 thousand dollars (at current exchange rate - 2.05 million rubles).
This week it was declared about the future re-equipment of Californian Tesla plant for starting of industrial assembly of Model 3. Anonymous sources report that works on release of new model will begin already on February 20. The management of the company, in its turn, hopes that the indicator of sales in 2018 will reach a point of 500 000 cars.
