Tesla Inc. was able to sell 74,073 China-produced electric cars in September 2023, demonstrating a 10.9-percent decline compared to the same month of the year before, Reuters reports.
A glance at the marque’s performance in August 2023 reveals that the decline was even worse back then – full 12% year-on-year. Having said that, Tesla remains optimistic about its future as the governments throughout the world continue actively supporting EV buyers.
BYD Group, Tesla’s main rival on the battery car market, has managed to find buyers for 286,903 EVs and hybrid cars in September. The company’s annual sales have grown by 42.8% so far, compared to the same period of 2022.
