Tesla has once again expanded the assortment of its souvenir shop with an alcohol gift. This time around it is a bottle of mezcal – a strongly alcoholic drink based on fermented agave juice. It will go on sale in July at U.S. $450 a pop in select states where it is legal.
The official Tesla website describes the drink as having a citrus and green apple aroma with distinct notes of tuberose and jasmine and a subtle hint of smoke.
The bottle has been designed by the Tesla Inc. design team. It has a lightning shape, 750 milliliters of volume, and is molded by hand from dark glass.
The company plans to sell only two bottles per customer at most, and customers in the USA must be at least 21 years old to apply. The sales will begin in a month or so, but you will have to ensure that your state or country isn’t listed as restricted first – mezcal is banned on certain markets.
