Elon Musk has revealed some important details concerning the impending release of an all-electric Tesla pickup truck. He said the car would be getting two electric engines with “crazy torque”.
Apart from the two engine, the base model will ship with 4WD and a “smart” suspension design that would adjust shock absorbers depending on their current workloads and the road quality. Semi-autonomous driving, automatic parking and panoramic cameras will all be optionally available.
Elon Musk admitted last year he had been dreaming of designing an all-electric pickup model for the past five years. And it looks like the premiere is not so far away now. At any rate, the new pickup should debut straight after the Tesla Model Y before the year ends.
Preliminary estimations put the vehicle in the approximate size category of the Ford F-150, but it may end up being a bit larger.
There is still no information on the model name, its technical specifications, driving range or prices.
