Tesla unveils new uniform interior concept

Computer-generated images depicting the new interiors of Tesla’s Model S and Model X lead us to assume the car manufacturer wants to switch its vehicle palette to a single, uniform interior design.

The images were acquired by an automotive news website in an unofficial way, so there is little we can do at the moment but speculate about whether they are fake or not. If not, then all Model S and Model X cars issued starting in 2019 will get the same interior design as in the Model 3. The latter features a minimalistic passenger space without too many embellishments or complex details.

The interior will be dominated by an enormous horizontal display, frameless in its upcoming next version. All vehicles will also get an advanced heating and ventilation system based on a single air duct.

Among other things, Tesla plans to change what finishing materials it uses and where, design unique headrests, improve the rear seat row experience, redesign the storage pockets and expand the list of available equipment by adding a wireless phone charger.
