Tesla Cybertruck plays tug-of-war with Ford F-150

The EV maker simply couldn’t resist comparing its newest battery truck against its ICE-powered nemesis, the Ford F-150.

The Cybertruck can tow a trailer attachment weighing up to 14,100 pounds (6.4 metric tons) and carry up to 3,300 lbs (1.5 metric tons) in the cargo bed. This explains why it drags the F-150 around with no apparent effort, despite the latter weighing up to 5,500 lbs (2.5 metric tons) in some configurations.

The losing side has already reacted to the video, promising to launch the all-electric F-150 before the Cybertruck begins shipping.

In its top configuration, the Tesla Cybertruck packs three electric motors and AWD, zaps from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under three seconds, and covers around 800 km (500 miles) on a maxed-out battery. Despite all this, it probably won’t beat the F-150 in terms of annual sales (1,000,000+ in the USA alone).
