Sundeep Madra, one of the senior managers of Ford, has called foul play on Tesla for publishing a video where its Cybertruck effortlessly wins tug-of-war against a Ford F-150.
A few days ago, during the reveal of the Tesla Cybertruck, the company played back a video showing its newest model dragging the F-150 about with no apparent effort. As Mr. Madra pointed out, the company chose a RWD truck for the test, which weighs substantially less than its AWD counterpart, and chose subpar tires for it.
Elon Musk has already replied, agreeing to arrange a fair test with Ford later.
Rumor has it Tesla has already received over 200,000 pre-orders for its Cybertruck (the latest official number was 140,000), even though the production is scheduled for late 2021 or 2022.
