The Dubai police boasts one the world’s most impressive service car pools ever, including an Aston Martin One-77, a Bugatti Veyron, a Lamborghini Aventador, a Porsche 918 Spyder, and many other magnificent supercars. Next year, a Tesla Cybertruck will join the list.
The police Dubai prioritize EVs over the more traditional cars, and this has a logical explanation. In its recent Twitter post, the organization showed a Cybertruck with a superimposed Dubai Police Car livery and said they planned to use it in places with big crowds of tourists. Naturally, an EV would be better suited for that purpose.
One thing remains unclear, though. The Cybertruck won’t enter production until 2021, and even then, the most affordable single-engine versions will be the first to ship, followed by the three-motor performance version in 2022. So maybe hoping to get one as early as 2020 is a bit optimistic.
