Tesla has published a gallery of images from its Gigafactory Texas where the Cybertruck pickup will be made later this year. The images were included in the investor report the company drew up following the first three months of 2023.
The assembly line does not look like a typical car manufacturing line despite having a Cybertruck body suspended in one of the photos. It is possible that the current version of the line is meant for ‘alpha version’ production, as the company called the pilot batch. Then again, maybe the production scope will be expanded over time as new equipment arrives and is installed.
CEO Elon Musk said the troubled electric pickup truck would finally reach production in late 2023. Earlier communications said mass manufacturing would not begin until 2024.
