Tesla refreshes Cyberquad patent, might begin mass production soon

The American EV maker has filed a patent application to renew its trademark rights for ‘Cyberquad’, a quad bike concept that the company hoped to bring to production someday. There has been no official comment from Tesla yet.

The all-electric quad bike debuted alongside its source of inspiration – the Cybertruck pickup – in 2019. It was a compact vehicle designed to complement the truck by fitting in its bed and providing extra off-road functionality.

Later on, Elon Musk said Cybertruck buyers would be able to specify the Cyberquad as an option with their main purchase. In late 2021, the company unveiled a kid’s version of the bike limited to 10 miles per hour (16 km/h), but after an incident that left an adult woman injured all examples were recalled from sale. We haven’t heard anything about its production prospects since then, and no technical parameters have been revealed thus far.
