The driving range of Tesla’s long-awaited Cybertruck pickup may end up being among the worst on the U.S. market, InsideEVs claims referencing anonymous insiders.
According to these unofficial reports, the first Cybertrucks that the company plans to deliver to its customers will be rated at 560 km (348 miles) per charge or lower. The situation may change with the addition of longer-range versions in the future, but this doesn’t change the fact that Tesla promised buyers 1,000 km (621 miles) per charge when unveiling the truck nearly four years ago.
What’s probably more important is that – assuming these rumors are true – the Cybertruck is on track to losing the market to its main competitors: Chevrolet Silverado EV, GMC Hummer EV and Rivian R1T.
