Automaker Tesla has shared a video on its social media showing a robot stress-testing the front seats apparently identical to those in the Cybertruck pickup.
The company never mentions it outright, but there are two dead giveaways. First, the design of the seats is unique and not found in any other Tesla car in production. Second, the controls on the door panels are similar if not identical to those on the Cybertruck interior pic that went online a while ago.
According to the description, the robot depresses each seat 50,000 times in a row, which is equivalent to their rated service life.
Like the front seats installed in the Model 3/Y and Model S/X, these sport separate headrests. Furthermore, they look rather better integrated into the overall design of the seat than before, resulting in a rather sporty look. The enhanced lateral support is also hard to miss.
