YouTuber Jeff Roberts has posted a video with two Tesla Cybertruck pickups sitting next to each other. The automaker never officially confirmed that the electric truck was getting air-ride suspension, but the video seems to clarify that.
The person who filmed it did so from a drone they launched above Tesla’s Gigafactory Texas. It starts with a panoramic overview of the site and then focuses on a Supercharger station with two pickups plugged into it. The one on the left seems to have the suspension at its lowest possible setting, while the one on the right appears to sit about as high as it can go.
Some time ago, Tesla boss Elon Musk hinted that the Cybertruck would get adaptive suspension integrated with the company’s latest-and-greatest computer, Hardware 4.0. In theory, it can adjust the ride height based on the current acceleration, steering wheel angle, road surface condition and other parameters.
