Tesla gurus from Unplugged Performance have launched a $3,000 suspension upgrade kit for the Cybertruck. It includes two shock absorbers that you can install at the rear end to improve damping and longevity.
It can be argued that the heavy electric pickup lacks in the ride comfort department. When its rear shocks get compressed – not a rare occurrence at all on bumpy roads – they take a while to rebound. As they do so, the springs stay stiff and may pass severe undamped vibrations onto the body and into the cabin, the tuner says.
In order to avoid this effect, owners can install extra shocks next to the OEM ones. Unplugged claims that it’s easy enough to do in your own garage. Note that only the dual-motor Cybertruck AWD and the triple-motor Cyberbeast are supported.
