If you own a Tesla Model 3 and for some reason don’t want to go all-out customizing it, you may as well replace a single major exterior detail with a fancy aftermarket alternative. Most people choose wheels, of course, but Unplugged Performance has a front bumper on offer instead.
The part is called Ascension Front Fascia System (how do they even come up with pompous stuff like this?) and costs U.S. $1,995. Included in the package is all the hardware you need to install it at your nearest car service station.
In terms of aerodynamic performance, rigidity and air flow control, the custom Tesla Model 3 front bumper is (reportedly) at least as good or better than the original one. It sits 0.5” (13 mm) lower and is 2¾” (70 mm) wider, though.
The firm ships its Ascension Front Fascia System unpainted, so make sure you have enough cash to have it installed and painted to match the color of your car body.
