Without any advance notification from its PR department (possibly because it has none), Tesla, Inc. has bumped Model 3 and Model S prices in the United States by between $500 and $10,000. At the time of writing, the website still shows old prices, but open the Configurator and you may be unpleasantly surprised.
The most affordable EV on the list – the Model 3 Standard Range Plus – now starts at $37,490. The Long Range AWD version also costs $500 more now at $46,490. The range-topping Performance spec still costs $55,990.
The Model S became more expensive early this year, but if you were looking forward to buying the ultimate Plaid+ spec rated at 1,100 HP (820 kW), we have bad news for you because it now costs $10,000 more at $149,990.
The Model Y and X SUVs continue to be available at their old price levels, the former starting from $48,490 and the latter from $88,490.
