Elon Musk’s battery cars are commonplace in drag racing now, challenging performance vehicles and supercars and quite often winning. The latest video marks a detour from the established genre, starring a Model 3 that tries to outrun two other Model 3s.
The base spec weighs in at 1,645 kg (3,626 lbs) and produces 287 PS (283 hp / 211 kW) along with 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. Its Long Range rival enjoys a boost to 351 PS (346 hp / 258 kW) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft) of torque, while the top spec packs 462 PS (456 hp / 340 kW) and 639 Nm (471 lb-ft). The latter duo weighs 1,840 kilos (4,056 lbs) each.
