According to Tesla Inc., the electric automaker managed to deliver 936,172 new vehicles to their owners over the past year, nearly doubling the previous year’s result of 499,647 units.
In the fourth quarter alone, buyers got 308,600 cars, or nearly one-third of the annual total. As a result, the company was able to deliver more cars than it produced throughout the year (930,422 units).
The Model 3 sedan and Model Y crossover led the sales in Q4 2021 by a wide margin with 296,850 units sold between them. The Model S liftback and Model X SUV trailed far behind with only 11,750 units combined.
