German suspension system designer KW Suspensions has released its KW V3 Leveling kit for Elon Musk’s two most popular electric cars, the Model 3 sedan and Model Y SUV.
Once installed, the springs and shocks can be flexibly adjusted for various driving scenarios, both in terms of ride height and stiffness. Since electric vehicles tend to have very little ground clearance to begin with – thanks to the bottom-mounted battery pack – the new kit allows raising the ride height by 5 mm on both axles or, alternatively, dropping it by up to 20 mm. If you find this range of adjustment restrictive, consider the standard KW V3 (non-Leveling) kit that simply drops the height by 5-50 mm on both axles. All adjustments can be made with millimeter precision.
In Germany, the full kit costs €2,711.
