Tesla slashes Model 3 and Model Y prices in China, again

Tesla has announced discounts on its 3 and Y models in China valid on August 14–30, 2023. The sedan is now 1,100 USD cheaper and the crossover SUV costs 1,900 USD less, CarNewsChina reports. The reason? Warehouse clearance sale.

The Tesla Model Y Long Range can now be had starting from $41,300 in the country (down from $43,200), while the Performance version can be obtained for $48,200 (down from $50,100).

In turn, the entry-level Model 3 now starts from $30,400. Its Performance version costs $45,500. In addition to the discount, all buyers get a $1,100 insurance subsidy valid across a number of accredited insurance providers.

The $480 discount for buying a Tesla EV on friend’s advice is still available, too.
