U.S.-based tuning company Adro has been making low-drag body kits for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y for a year now. Depending on the model, they are said to reduce wind resistance by roughly 3-4 percent. A new body kit has been designed now – but the company wants to see some interest first before committing to production.
Priced at a cool $5,500, the package includes a front bumper with a splitter and fin-like side attachments, aerodynamic side skirts and generously flared wheel arches, a massive rear wing and a rear diffuser. Everything is made from lightweight, sturdy carbon fiber.
The company only has digital renderings of the kit to show us right now, but says it will begin production if it gets at least seven pre-orders, which should not be difficult at all given the target audience size.
