Tesla has released an update for its Model 3 vehicle lineup which, among other things, allows the driver to control the autopilot using the steering wheel controls. The news was met with much enthusiasm and praise on behalf of Tesla owners who have previously had to switch this mode on using the central console – and thus get distracted from the road situation.
Now you may tell the autopilot to move with a certain speed and to hold a certain distance from the cars ahead using the steering wheel button located on the right. Another button can now be used to manipulate the side-view mirrors. And if you would rather prefer the old controls, Tesla Model 3 still has those as well.
