Tesla’s Cybertruck and Roadster get merged in a homegrown build

While Tesla keeps teasing us with promises to release the second-gen Roadster someday, an enthusiast from the USA decided to take matters into his own hands.

Starting with an affordable-yet-sporty Tesla Model 3 Performance, David Andreyev outfitted the car with body panels inspired by both the Roadster and the company’s other much-hyped creation, the Cybertruck. Unlike that one, though, the CyberRoadster isn’t afraid of putting the occasional curve here and there. As a result, it looks less like a shoebox on wheels and more like an actual performance car.

The tuner details the ins and outs of the project in a series of videos ion YouTube (search for Cyber Hooligan). Among other things, he explains his logic in finding the best-fitting shapes for the headlights and taillights. He also lets it slip that he had to separate the wiring into “several hundred” splices for easier cable management. While still far from completion, the CyberRoadster is an exciting project that would certainly be interesting to see when finally complete.
