UP-tuned Tesla Model 3 Performance gets serious about racing

Unplugged Performance has prepared the current Model 3 for the big motorsports with a special edition named Red Rocket.

In addition to its stock dual motors producing 516 PS (509 hp / 380 kW), the EV now features racing suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes and a carbon-fiber body kit said to improve the downforce by up to 193 kilos (425 pounds). The aero package includes a front lip spoiler, a rear diffuser, side sill extensions and drag-reducing rear spats. Everything is made from dry prepreg carbon fiber and further reinforced with Kevlar, UP claims. Even with the optional rear wing on, the drag ratio only goes up by a negligible 1.93%.

Much has been done in the suspension department, where pro-grade, flexibly adjustable racing shocks and springs now reside. The arches house UP-03 forged wheels shod in Yokohama ADVAN A052 semi-slicks, while a look behind the spokes reveals rotors from the tuner’s own Superlight Carbon-Ceramic Big Brake Kit complete with six-piston calipers.

We are told that no similar track-focused tuning kits currently exist for the post-facelift Model 3. The pricing seems to be private, but you can already contact UP for a quotation.
