Tesla finally delivers on the promise to produce 5,000 Model 3 cars daily

The U.S. all-electric car manufacturer Tesla has recently managed to increase its weekly Model 3 output to 5,000, thus finally fulfilling the promise given to the investors and backers late last year.

Apparently, though, Elon Musk doesn’t want to provide the impression of a man who can rest on his laurels. Addressing his employees in an open letter, he said the factory will begin producing as many as 6,000 Model 3 vehicles per week to meet the projected figures as soon as possible. And if you consider that the factory is already churning out more than 2,000 Model S and X cars weekly, that’s going to be over 8,000 total.

The company had initially planned to postpone these goals until at least the end of 2018 over battery supply issues. Now it seems like whatever has been the problem with the batteries, it has been solved.

There are two modifications of the Tesla Model 3. The base version has a driving range of 350 km (215 mi) and can accelerate to 210 km/h (130 mph) at most. The top version can speed up to 225 km/h (140 mph) and travel up to 500 km (310 mi) prior to needing a recharge.
